Much time and effort went into faithfully recreating the classic sound of a vintage old Philco Tube amp, which was salvaged from an old radio/phono console from the 1950s. It was sampled in three different setups, and there’s an alt version of the third setup for a total of four EQ/tone effects. These are all contained in an authentic custom skin. The ‘bass’ knob acts similar to an adjustable high pass filter, and ‘treble’ adjusts a high shelf. These controls allow you to sculpt the tone to your liking!
Also included are some fun LFO effects, mostly similar to a tremolo. Most of them are like the main EQ/Tone programs, but the treble control is modulated by an LFO using a custom programmed scheme I designed that allows you to easily place the modulation range exactly where you want it. There are also two ‘special’ LFO programs that feature a sweeping peak band that moves up in frequency as the shelf from the amp increases in amplitude. The peak band was taken from a vst EQ which was applied before the signal was sampled through the amp, so the end result is kind of a melding of the vst peak band and the amp’s treble control, modulated by Nebula’s internal LFOs using my custom system.
The five LFO effects on offer can all be used with your choice of ten different LFO shapes, and all of the fifty combinations can be selected with a simple press of a button on the LFO skin that houses all of these programs.
